Stocktaking

Speak your count. Offiks does the rest.

A stocktake doesn’t take time because counting is slow. It takes time because everything has to go into Excel afterwards. Just say what you count — item, quantity, location — and the count is in the system straight away. No second person taking notes, no evening spent retyping.

For whom
Warehouse, shop or workshop — anyone who counts stock periodically
What you do
Speak while you count. That’s it.
What happens
Every count becomes a row, linked to your own item list
Sound familiar?

Counting isn’t the problem

“In pairs: one counts, one writes. Double the manpower for one count.”

“In the evening someone sits retyping everything from a sheet full of scribbles.”

“Three Excel files from three counters. And then merging them.”

The count itself takes an hour. Processing it takes the rest of the day — and that is exactly where errors creep in, because every figure moves from one sheet to another once more.

How it works

Speak, check, done

1

Offiks.ai listens: you simply say what you see

“Item 4412, eighteen units, rack B3.” That’s all: Offiks.ai processes it straight away. Your hands stay free for the box, the ladder or the scanner, and you don’t have to switch between counting and typing. Once you get used to it, you count in one continuous flow.

2

Offiks.ai recognises: every item in the right place

Offiks.ai matches what you say against the items already in the system. Say the name instead of the number, and it still ends up with the right item. Anything that can’t be matched with certainty is flagged by Offiks.ai — instead of silently being put in the wrong place.

3

Offiks.ai compares: you only look at what differs

Offiks.ai puts the count straight into a list, next to what was expected. You review the rows that don’t match, not the hundreds that do. For each discrepancy Offiks.ai can automatically send a task to whoever needs to investigate — while it is still fresh.

What it delivers

Three things you notice straight away

The gain isn’t in counting faster. It is that everything that came after the count simply disappears.

01

One person instead of two

The counter and the note-taker are now the same person. For a team that counts a few times a year, that quickly adds up to days you get back.

02

Done when you’re done

There is no more processing after the count. The moment you walk out of the warehouse, it is in the system and you see the discrepancies — not two days later, when nobody remembers anything.

03

Fewer retyping errors

Every time a figure moves from one sheet to another is a chance for an error. Those intermediate steps are gone, and so are those errors.

Our advice: start with one rack

Do your first count with one zone or one product group, alongside your current way of working. You immediately hear how your team speaks: which abbreviations they use, what they call an item, where they hesitate. That is exactly what you need to make the rest run smoothly — and it costs you one rack, not a project.

What you should know

It works as well as your item list: if there is nothing in the system to match against, you still get a neat list of what was said, but no link to items. In a noisy warehouse, a simple headset is the difference between smooth and frustrating. And speech doesn’t replace checking — you still confirm the discrepancies yourself.

When is your next stocktake?

Take one zone of your warehouse as an example. In half an hour we will show you how that count goes when you simply speak it — with your own items on screen.
